The 3C’s Café - Every Friday morning 9am – Noon. Try our FreeTrade Coffee, Tea and Cakes. Take this chance to stock up on Free Trade groceries. Come meet with friends and members of St Giles Parish Church. Admission FREE.

 

Harvest Celebrations. Home Baking, Garden Produce and Crafts. Entertainment and a “Pie & Peas” supper are planned for Saturday 4th October.  A Home Produce evening with Judging event. Ending with a fun auction of the produce to help raise funds.. Bring along your prize produce and handicrafts for display 3pn - 4pm. Entertainment and Bar available at St Giles Church Hall,

Harvest Festival. St Giles will hold its annual Harvest Festival on Sunday 5th October at the 10am Service. Children from the Local Primary Schools are invited to create a masterpiece to help celebrate this year’s harvest. Details yet to be confirmed.

 

Healing Service.  14th October 2008. The next Service of Prayers for Healing to be held in St. Giles is to be on 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm.

 

Messy Church. St Giles Church is to be recognised as a church for families who want to meet Jesus, belong to their local church and bring up their children as Christians but can't cope with traditional Sunday morning church services. Who said Church had to be boring? It's a once-a-month time of creativity, cooking, worship and eating together. We will Launch Messy Church 22nd October, and every 4th Wednesday of the Month. Be there, at St Giles Church Hall. 3:30 – 6pm.

 

Women of the Bible. A Presentation and talk led by Mrs Deirdre Wilmore - £5.00 per person, Saturday 25th October. 10am to 4pm at St Giles Church Hall

 

Operation Christmas Child –The “Shoe box” appeal was launched in September and there will be a special service on Sunday 26th October at 4pm. All are welcome.

 

Killamarsh Silver Band Concert The Killamarsh Silver Band will entertain us with an evening of music on Saturday 1st November. At the Church Hall on

, 7:30pm Admission £4.

 

Commemoration of the departed A special service to remember our departed friends and family 2nd November. The service will be held at St Giles Parish Church – 6:30 pm.

 

Remembrance Service. The service this year will be on Sunday 9th November at 3pm. Followed by a Remembrance Tea at the Church Hall at 4pm.

 

ASTON MALE VOICE CHOIR A concert at the Church Hall on

Sheepcote Road
on 22nd November at 7:30 pm. The Aston Male Voice Choir have given us many an enjoyable evening in the past and no doubt this will not be just as much fun. Entrance cost yet to be arranged.

  

Christmas Dinner. A get-together at the Sitwell Arms for dinner and a speaker (Hopefully Michael Mitten). 22nd November 2008. Further. Just a few places left

 

Holy Land. Revd. Helen and Revd. Michael are leading a pilgrimage to the Holy Land (Israel) in November 2009. It is hoped that as many people as possible, from our parishes, will be able to join them on this once in a life time opportunity. For more information see either Revd. Helen or Revd. Mick
